DJ SUMICE + Karaoke (Wellington)

I started as a professionally DJ in 1997 while studying music at Otago University. During the nineties I mainly played 21st Birthday parties. Starting in 2000 I spent 10 years playing as a club Dj all over New Zealand. From 2010 to 2019 I mainly played high end private functions of all kinds. Since 2019 I have been the residence DJ at The Tote Bar in Upper Hutt. During this time I have built a great stable patron base for the DJ nights. I feel completely comfortable steping back and allowing someone else to play one Saturday per month and I don't think it will effecting the Bar take. From a young age I grew up working at my parents two bars. I completely understand the importance of having the right entertainment to engage the locals and bring in new patronage. With my experience, state of the art technology and what I believe is the best multi genre database in New Zealand.

Below is the standard equipment list:

Two high spec laptops, Acer Predator and an HP Zbook (one as backup).

Two Pioneer DJ mixers/controllers and back up music player.

I use the latest version of VDJ and belong to over 100 of the best DJ record pools in the world for great mixes and track quality.

As many handheld/lapel wireless mics as you need.

At least two high end powered JBL 15" top speakers and two powered JBL 18" Subs. I usually use four 15's if there is enough space. I also have the best in wireless equipment to send audio and video to other rooms.

I will use one light trees with 16 DMX lights and four high powered moving heads.

One DMX controller.

If screens aren't available I will use one 50'' LED monitor for music videos and announcments on a stand. All songs I play have video which can be great to help keep patrons entertained and informed of music selection. Also have eight projectors available, but seldom use these at bars as they can be a bit inappropriate.
